We renovated our historic homes in 2016, and opened our doors as overnight rentals on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, along the Shawnee National Forest in 2017. We began having weddings in our courtyard and in our main house, so we decided to build a 200 guest event pavilion in 2020. It is a wedding venue choice you will treasure for a lifetime. There is nothing like it in the Midwest.

Our outdoor event pavilion is just steps away from our two historic homes at Havisham House. It is covered with a copper metal roof and has open sides for beautiful weather weddings, or it can be enclosed for inclement weather. We offer two restrooms, a permanent bar made out of wood, concrete and stone, an antique side buffet, a farmhouse sweetheart table, two whiskey/wine barrels, a beautiful stone arch entry and stone wall backdrop for your head table, a concrete floor, ceiling fans, stunning chandeliers, etc. Stairs descend from the main house into the large grass courtyard, with a winding sidewalk leading to the stone arch of the pavilion. Our property is full of mature trees and landscaping. Our pavilion is surrounded on two sides by a creek and lush tree line.

If you want modern luxury with historic charm, a Havisham House wedding is just for you. Photos from your wedding will be stunning and unique. The main house is the perfect area for brides and bridesmaids to get ready. It is full of natural light and has such amazing character. The carriage house can be used for out-of-town guests, or it is a convenient area for the groom and groomsmen to get ready.

We understand budgets. This is why we offer a monthly payment plan. Our pricing is set so you can focus on your other vendors, such as photographers, caterers, flowers, etc. A Havisham House wedding is an experience, not just a wedding venue. We have two historic homes, built in 1892. These homes are included in your wedding weekend for lodging. Each home sleeps six guests. We provide tables, chairs and table cloths for the amount of guests you expect in our event pavilion.

We don’t want you to have to rush on one of the most blessed days of your life. That is why we also offer our Essential and Evermore packages – – – these allow you time before your wedding to plan, decorate, and relax. They also offer you a chance to sleep in, enjoy the moment, and not worry about rushing to clean up and check out. Just relax!

Our contract is simple and based on your wedding package choice. It is due at the time of deposit to reserve your date. We offer a monthly payment arrangement if your budget is extra tight. Or, you can save five percent off your total package price (excludes alcohol), if you pay in full at the time of reserving your date.

You are not limited to using our “preferred” vendors for our property. If you have a favorite caterer, photographer, etc., we are happy to welcome them to Havisham House. But, if you just need ideas, we have a list of vendors we have used and highly recommend. Once you pay your deposit to reserve your date, we will provide our preferred vendor list.
